Brent Kleinheksel, Managing Partner
For the past
several years Brent has oversaw the
partnership activities at Kleinheksel
Kapital, LLC. Recent responsibilities
have included the management, growth and
oversight of Rosewood Pointe, a
waterfront resort in Holland, Michigan.
He also owns and operates several
Internet entities including
GreatHomesUSA, an umbrella entity owning
over 50 region specific real estate
sites and
Lodgix.com, a site that sells
startup resources and documents to
entrepreneurs. Other new projects
include
Credit Repair Made Easy, a new site
dedicated to helping consumers repair
their credit reports and
Villa Kleinheksel, a real world
venture into the grape growing and wine
making industry!
Brent is
also the former founder and former Chief
Executive Officer of PlanetPortal, Inc.
a Durham, North Carolina based Internet
startup. Prior to the burst of the
Internet bubble, PlanetPortal was
a
leading provider of infrastructure and
technologies that connected physical,
real world objects to Internet content.
During his 16-month tenure as CEO, Mr.
Kleinheksel grew the organization from
“one man and a business plan” to over
forty-five employees and raised nearly
$9 million in venture funding from angel
and institutional investors.
Prior
to PlanetPortal, Brent served as a
Senior Marketing Manager within the IBM
ThinkPad organization. While at IBM,
Brent was a member of a project
development team responsible for
launching and marketing the ThinkPad
iSeries®, a line of notebook computers
designed specifically for consumers and
small business owners. He spent
considerable amounts of his time working
with brand marketing segments in Europe
and Japan.
Mr. Kleinheksel has
helped author two United States Patents
and is the author of several articles on
world-to-web. He has been profiled in
several publications including the
Industry Standard and the Triangle
Business Journal. Brent is the son
of Larry Kleinheksel, the other half of
Kleinheksel Kapital!
He received his Bachelor
of Business Administration from Western
Michigan University in 1994 and earned
his Master in Business Administration
from the University of Notre Dame in
1998. |
